Although mandatory minimum insurance laws vary from state to state, the law in Texas is one of the best in the country. Notwithstanding that fact, minimum liability insurance is completely insufficient for anybody on the road anywhere, particularly somebody driving on a learners permit.
Its a fact that experienced drivers are generally far less of an insurance risk than a student driver. Because of inexperience, the risk of insuring a student driver increases significantly. If they do end up in an accident, whether it’s their fault or not, minimum liability insurance isn’t going to pay their medical bills. It’s not going to cover the vehicle they were driving either. If they’re hit by an uninsured driver, they’re also out of luck. Minimum liability insurance just doesn’t cover any of those risks.
We’re independent insurance agents and we live and work in and around Arlington, Texas. We want to see you and your student driver fully protected. Because we’re independent agents, we’re not hitched to one single mega insurer. We’re tied in with multiple car insurance companies. From that variety of companies, you can make the choice of who will insure you, what types of coverage you’ll have and how and when premiums are paid. Agents for the "big three" just can’t do that. They’re not permitted to.
So whether you’re buying a new car for your new driver or making them suffer through the embarrassment of driving mom’s van, we can offer you some great choices. Feel free to call us or just stop in with your questions. We’ll make the time for you. We might just be able to save you a bundle of money too.
